Glenn also handed out individual scout financial status report. This report
showed that 40% of our scouts have not paid any dues to date.
Quartermaster: Carport worked out well at
Klondike Derby. Tim will be making a few minor adjustments to it. Tim to check
on tarps to make sure they are all there. Also on pots and pans for condition
and quantity. Tim to check with scouts to see what they think they need in their
boxes for trips. Tim to stock up on consumable items for future trips.
Outdoor Activities: Backpacking trip scheduled
for March 7-9. Camporee May 2-4 at Knob Hill Park. Trip to Philadelphia May
16-18. Trips need to have more planned activities. Too much down time for
scouts. Commitment to trips needs to be made at least one week in advance. The
number of scouts going to Parker Dam doubled right before trip and we almost
didn’t have enough drivers. Discussion took place concerning insurance coverage
on trips. What liability do adult leaders have if accident should occur, etc.
Jon Clunies to look into and will get back to committee.
Indoor Activities: Spring banquet will be June 10th.
We will recognize any Eagles scouts and scout advancements. There will be a
planning meeting on February 25th during the scout meeting to
discuss.
Webmaster Report: Pictures are needed for web site.
Send any to Jon Clunies.
SPL: Jon asked if there was any meeting planning
guidelines. John Semanchick and Tim Hare to give Jon guidance on meeting
planning.
Popcorn: No report.

Trail to 1st Class meetings. Discussion took place on when they could
be held: before meeting 6:30-7:00pm, during meeting??
Committee Chairman: Discussion took place on who can
sign off on trail to 1st class requirements. Senior scouts (star and
above) can sign on left side to show he taught the skill. John Semanchik will
still “test” skills during scoutmaster conference. Certain requirements will
need adult sign off only. Attendance sheets need to be signed at each
activity-meetings & trips-since attendance is requirement for advancing. Boys in
leadership roles need to be doing their job-will not advance without,
Description of jobs will be discussed at meeting; Keith German to work with Jon
H. on this. All patrol leaders and scribes should attend patrol leaders meeting.
Rich Marcus suggested an article be written for the Church newsletter telling
about our troop. He volunteered his wife Dawn to write the article.
Scoutmaster: There will be a Junior leadership
training week from June 13-20. Star and above are eligible to attend. We
anticipate receiving 11 new scouts next month. (6-Pack 171, 2-Pack 335, 5-Pack
279) Bowlathon will be at Etna Elk’s on March 22, 7pm-midnight. John requested
that next months meeting be changed to March 20th since he will be
