Here is a list of equipment recommended on a typical campout.

Some campouts may require extra gear due to activities or weather. Notes to this effect will be made at the weekly meetings.

Any medicines brought by the scouts will be kept at all times by a designated adult leader who will be responsible for seeing that the scouts receive their medicine. All money will likewise be held by an adult leader for security reasons.

What to bring to camp

  1. Class "A" Uniform Shirt
  2. Class "B" Uniform Shirt
  3. Long pants (2)
  4. Shorts (if camping in summer)
  5. Sturdy Shoes (NOTE: Sandals are not acceptable in camp)
  6. Socks (one pair for each night camping)
  7. Underwear (one pair for each night camping)
  8. Additional T-Shirt
  9. Sweatshirt (even during summer)
  10. Official Troop hat
  11. Sleeping Bag
  12. Pillow
  13. Coat
  14. Rain Poncho
  15. Folding Chair
  16. BSA Handbook
  17. Notebook
  18. Pens or Pencils
  19. BSA regulation Pocket Knife (NOTE: Knives must be smaller than 5 inches, must be folding knives, and the scout must have his totenchip card at all times when carrying the knife)
  20. Optional Reading
  21. First Aid Kit
  22. Watch
  23. Swimming Suit (if during summer)
  24. Mess Kit (except summer camp)
  25. Flashlight
  26. Batteries- lightbulb for Flashlight
  27. Extra Blankets
  28. Personal Hygiene Products (toothbrush, soap, etc.)
  29. Towel

What not to bring to camp

  1. Sheath Knives
  2. Propane Lanterns
  3. Lighters
  4. Walk-mans, Radios, Gameboys
  5. Any Substance Prohibited by Law
